Who are Anglian?

Anglian Coaches Ltd is a family owned company. The company is independent and not associated with First Bus, Stagecoach or any other major bus company. Since the company was formed at Loddon, Norfolk 22 years ago, we have established a close working relationship with both Norfolk County Council and Suffolk County Council. Our company strives to provide high levels of service.

Where are Anglian?

Company headquarters are now located at the Beccles Business Park on 5 acres of freehold land. On this site we have constructed a purpose built garage within which we are able to fully maintain and clean, to a very high standard, our vehicles. All operational matters and administration are carried out from our headquarters.

We currently operate 40 buses and coaches, from our Beccles base, many of which are low floor and environmentally friendly. The average age of our bus fleet is just 3 years. Our company policy dictates that all new buses placed into service will be low floor and wheelchair friendly where possible. In the last 5 years, we have added 25 brand new buses to our fleet, at a cost in excess of £2 million, with more planned for 2004.

All maintenance is carried out to a very high standard by our own team of qualified engineers. A full Department of Transport MOT test lane is incorporated within the premises; in addition to the excellent engineering facilities a bus wash is installed making the complete Anglian operating base one of the best in the country.

  2. The drivers are helpful, courteous and drive safely.
  3. All buses are cleaned inside and out thoroughly on a daily basis

The Future with Anglian

  1. In the near future all new buses and many in the existing fleet will be equipped with satellite tracking system, which will enable mobile telephone users to get real time information.
  2. In an effort to assist the control of pollution in our operating area, we are evaluating Bio-Diesel. The use of Bio-Diesel has a major impact in the reduction of harmful exhaust emissions.
  3. The company is constantly examining it’s performance and looking at ways to improve service levels and efficiency.
